(buncha useless shit omitted as it was boring as hell)
Guild Halls..they can start this week. Yes..the GEO TOOL is done.
Finally. After a couple of final tweaks to my editor, we can start
to build your guild halls. I have kept all the old plans, so I can
help with that. We will have to make ppointments when to do the
halls, but I will coordinate with you during this coming week. The
little buildings resently assigned are ONLY elegant entry points
into your halls.
Soulie Note:
These are the same halls that were to be IN-game by commercial release.
May of 98. LMFAO! Elegant entry points?
Wrong-o Spinmaster Fred, they are bullshit subterfuge to grease
your customers. And "resently" added?
- yer damn right we resent it !!
Guild Hall Boards..the newspaper.exe tool is now being done and
when it is, your guild boards (messages, stories, etc etc) can then
be moved inside your guild halls. The GM and AGM will have cool
tool to update their own 'books' or libraries. Also the guild flag
commands will be ready. This will follow soon, but the guild halls
can be done meantime.
The Guild Boards as you know them now will be eliminated, so anyone
wanting to archive their writings, please do so in the coming 10
days.
Soulie Note:
Wheeeeeeee!! Fred is ramming the stick he ALREADY has in his
arse so far back up there! Say g'bye to quite a few customers
you dumbass. Hell - Soulie opinion here...but the boards were
about 80% of the reason to STAY in that cricket/roach/dung beetle
infested game (and I say game using the term loosely)
Guild players..there will be a Kharduum.hlp that will be up by
aprox. Wednesday and will show a LOT of new areas and possibilities
for guild areas and new exteriors. Please see this before you make
any commitments. There is a lot of new art available soon..and you
can see these through download patches soon (about 2 weeks)..so
be concious of this new option. ********************
The "Question to Designer" board will close permanently
this Sunday. I just do not have the time at the present time to
keep up with it.
Soulie Note:
Translation - - The question to designer board is kicking my ass
so bad I have no more crap to spew. I give up and am closing
the board permanently before more of you pack up.
(useless babble omitted)
--And a tremedaous amounts of new things to see..
Soulie Note:
(finger spinnin' in air inserted here)
--Laters..
Yea, definitely MORE later!

Great Posts All :0
--Ok first, the reasons for this discussion is to preserve what
has worked, what is important to you and to carry these things in
the future. As everything else, this is experimental, not a condition
of having an account, and three - it is now totally up to you to
make it work.
--Ok These are the realities: 85% of online players are great. 5%
are iffy <g> and 10% range from having mental problems to
being social misfits. The reasons are immaterial, and we need to
heap a ton of controls on these characters and at least a mile of
separation from these individuals on the boards, game and network.
If everyone knew better, we would NOT be having this conversation.
Soulie Note:
Sign my ass up for the mental problem'd type!! (and so there
aint confusion...this is Master ;p)
--But, you got to be disturb to bash (in a gutter-filled manner)
the very hand that tries to do something for you and expect to be
treated as normal from there on. You got to be sick to constantly
roam the boards (18 hours a day) looking for an argument with anyone
and everyone for the 'thrill' of it. This is light-weight stuff;
someday I will fill you on the real "serial killer" stuff.
<g> The signs are real early, and they only get worse. Realms
Network is not in the psychology business, we are in the gaming
business; that is all we going to tackle in the future.
Soulie Note:
Freddy - tis called DISSATISFACTION. You do not let us speak
our displeasure, so we find more "Creative" ways to voice
our thoughts. Cryin' fuckin' shame we own a domain, eh?
LMFAO!!
--The first order of the day will be a matter of personal
responsibility. So, you are responsible for the following, if you
want to have a board, and I will keep them open for 30 days and
see how this works.
--The following plan addresses the concept of limited bandwidth,
the original intent of the board and the entertainment value of
them.
Rules for Guild Boards:
Soulie Note:
This is where we get REALLY rollin' here...
Step #1: Eliminate any posts or boards now that even gets into a
discussion of the game. The boards are for Role playing, Socializing,
Coordinating and Friendship. All game questions and Issues should
be directed to this board or applicable e-mail areas. Remember that
if you LINK to another board, the same rules apply. So if the foreign
board doesn't meet the same standards, eliminate the link.
Soulie Note:
No evil allowed. It is not nice and friendly-like.
And oh yea, NO disagreeing with the staff - for they wear the red
armbands - NOT you. You don't like it? Tough shitola!
(long as ya pay that fee LOE is happy)
Step #2: ALL Guild Boards are allowed FOUR categories: by way of
suggestion: Private (make sure Alvar, Fred Arbona and Sorcessa and
Circe are in that list as host); General Discussion; Role Playing
and what ever else. But four.
Soulie Note:
Yea, make sure they can come in and delete and moderate AT will
(as in The Fellowship board Fred shut down because he did not agree
with THEIR guild's discussion)
Rule #2: All Guild boards are moderated (excepting private boards).
All without exception. In this way, there is no further way unwanted
posts appear on your board. It is asummed that those that are hosts,
will be the moderators.
Soulie Note:
Yea, so when assholes like me come in and post, Fred can blame the
moderators!!
OK - RULE #3 originally read as follows:
Rule #3: It is your resposibility to not allow any players that
are banned from the network. You can start with these two classic
"cases": Souldemon and Soulmaster. If I got to explain
why by now, I do not think we will ever see eye to eye in the future
anyway. Souldemon should take his own parents to his web
site and ask them for their opinion for starters.
Soulie Note:
Fred was SCARED shitless about admitting this site existed, so he
IMMEDIATELY altered the post to read as below....(and oh yea
Fred...SoulDemon's parents? LMFAO - you are completely clueless
aren't cha?)
--Tanks out to Sinbad for having speedy fingers - and Da
Grinch for pointing the original out ;>
Rule #3: It is your resposibility to not allow any players that
are band from the network. You can start with these two classic
"cases": Souldemon and Soulmaster. If I got to explain
why by now, I do not think we will ever see eye to eye in the future
anyway. If I had the power, I would relish trying both for 'crimes
against online gaming'. :)
Soulie Note:
Gee - what CAN we say? I humbly accept this honor on behalf
of ALL people Fred is currently giving it to from the rear.
And I don't mean to go off on a rant here...but
WHY is it when I get the LEAST bit creative and drunk, Demmy gets
the friggin' credit for it? Bastard!!
Rule #4: We do not want to even HEAR a single thing about the guild
boards. Not a single complaint or problem. If you got a 'case' in
your hands, be warned, sooner or later they will be gone, it is
just how much damage to allow them to do before they leave. If WE
need to step in, we get into the maintenance business and must assume
things are not working.
Soulie Note:
In other words - Fred is "acting" nice and "allowing"
the boards to stay from the goodness of his heart. But in
reality - he is SCREWING you royally and will eventually either
have ALL of you sooo scared you will be moderating the BoP'ers -
or you will be deleted.
Rule #5: Hit the Delete button on your board if anything above is
not acceptable to you. If you know you cannot meet the above standards,
delete the board now and we do not waste further time with this
issue.
Soulie Note:
::cough cough:: - ie - if it even SAYS SoulDemon or SoulMaster -
Delete it. Fred warned ya!
You are welcomed to comment and if I missed anything, let me know,
before I post this in every board.
Soulie Note:
LMAO Fred - you can friggin count on a comment or two.
;>

--You have given me the reasons for some of the types
of post that have on occassion permiated these boards and every
board. All understandable reasons.
--The situation is - individuals are given certain
freedoms, they exercise those freedoms and present their arguments
in a style and tone they deem civil and legitimate. Presumably.
But suppose in actuality, their manner is really odious, or counter-productive,
hurtful or excessively repugnant to the great majority? What then?
The individual sees it as perfectly 'normal' behaviour and within
his rights. But everyone else, is forced to deal with it, compensate
for it, PAY for it or disassociate oneself from where that individual
has chosen to express his 'rights'. Common result, they drive everyone
away and have the place all to themselves. Sounds familiar? What
'cost' should an individual be allowed to incurr on the rest before
they are controlled? Considering they are but one out of a thousand?
--The sure thing and the situation that always 'works':
anticipate and do not even allow the situation where behaviour even
has a chance to surface in the first place. Meaning do not put yourself
(or an entity) in a position to have to trust the goodwill of the
individual. Just in case, even if rare, the good will may not be
there. (Classic examples= open boards)
--The moral: with freedoms should come the awareness
of personal responsibilities. If we do not self-control ourselves,
someone else will have to do it for us.
--The question remains among many people here that
did not come from AOL: what was allowed there, what was considered
normal, acceptable behaviour? How could it produce such a wide spectrum
of people ranging from the great majority of good and fun
people (and players), and yet accomodate such a definable bevy,
albeit small, of malcontents and on an even smaller case fruitcakes?
What role did the malcontents play there? Many us us have asked
this question a million times; and to many of us we have never encounter
this before in our own gaming in other places. Maybe we have, but
never noticed, or had to deal with it.
Soulie Note:
Just one comment here...and nothing terribly biting. WHAT
THE FUCK IS HE TALKING ABOUT? Fred just "spun" a
post and didn't even realize it. (note how the beginning and
end have NOTHING to do with eachother). Gotta love that.
Here is a quote from the LoE PLAYER (snicker) that sent this in
- "Do you get the impression that Fred talks to himself in
a little quiet voice and writes his name in his size 54 lardass
underwear?"
Simply put - yes. Yes we do.

General :)
--With today's updates, the changes to the game are finished. Thank
you for putting up with the 'little tweaks' and 'adjustments'. Best
to do it at first with the first wave of players and then let it
fly.

The basic changes to the game are done. WE will concentrate on
cleanup and improvements from here on. Also on the Panterra and
Kharduum!! Arenas. Laters..have fun and yes there was a "Master
Plan". <g>

First, all major changes to the game are over. We can appreciate
that the changes of the last 30 days were abrupt in nature, but
there was a plan to it. First, we do believe any changes should
be made quickly and at the beginning, and it doesn't make any sense
dragging them out over a period of months.

For the next two days an incredible amount of database changes,
server reconfiguring (Kharduum) and you name it will be happenning
behind the scenes. We are undergoing the final conversion in the
entire system
And of course this brings us to the stage
the game is in now...finished, ROFL.. yea, sure it is.
