I love the work these guys do, The Star wars games were awesome. They get to spoof the movies while the make the game and it makes it hilarious to play.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Eye

http://movies.msn.com/movies/movie.aspx?m=2109424&...

Cloverfield

Since Arch hasn't done it, I will post my review of "Cloverfield".

First off let me state.. I loved this movie! I think it was a fantastic departure from the same old action big budget monster mmovie.

Cloverfield is a "Giant Monster" movie but from the perspective of one of those thousands of people that you see running and screaming in the streets during the rampage of <insert your favorite giant monster name here> through <insert city>. You always get a Gods eye perspective in most monster movies because you are put in the third person. This is different...

Think "Blair Witch Project" meets "Godzilla". Do not expect a slick nicely edited movie. To enjoy this movie you must do three things...

1. Suspend reality completely
2. Embrace the concept which is that this is "found" footage that you are viewing and not a "Movie".
3. Pay attention.... all the way to the last scene...

It is a wild thrill ride but don't expect to leave the theater with a satisfied feeling. This movie left me wanting.... wanting to see a sequel and soon that will bring closure.

If you have followed the hype and the viral marketing of this film, you will not be disappointed. If you are a Godzilla fan or a Monster Movie enthusiast then go see this.. This was way better than the last "Godzilla" movie that had Ferris Behuler in it..
We watched it last week, and I have to say I was impressed. It is very rare anymore that a murder/thriller/suspense movie has left me wondering what happened until the end of the movie and all is revealed. I have always liked Anthony Hopkins, and this is one of his best "Bad Guy" performances since Silence of the Lambs in my opinion.

Crysis

Hasn't anyone played Crysis yet?

I thought it was great. Definitely the prettiest game I've ever played. Bad ending tho..

4 out of 5 stars. I'd give it a 5 but it has a huge cliffhanger ending I was totally unexpecting...

Mass Effect?

Has anyone tried this game at all? Its only for the Xbox 360 and is the sole reason I am torn between getting a PS3 or an Xbox 360. I like the backward compatibility of the ps3...but Mass Effect looks so cool...
MUST GET!

I don't care what console you have. If you only buy one game in the next year buy Rock Band.

While Guitar Hero made your fingers bleed trying to beat it. Rock Band is a totally different vibe. Yes you want to "beat it" but it's not about completeing a challenging song. When you add other players it really makes it fun just to play some awsome songs. Its about bringing people together to have a good time.

Yeah yeah.. people say why not just learn to play.. because the point is that learning to play is a SOLO thing till your good at it. This game is about getting together with your friends and family.

We took it to Archos's on Thanksgiving and we had a blast with four of us playing. Archo's wife was on drums, Ralved sang, Archos on Bass and I played the guitar part. It was really really fun even if we all weren't that great at it.

One kewl thing is that even if you play all the songs you can download more, at least on Xbox Live.

It brought back memories of playng air guitar with my friends to my Kiss albums when I was in like 5th and 6th grade.

With Guitar Hero you did rock out, but Rock Band gave me the feel of like I was really making music.

There are still the technical aspects of note strings and overdrive (Star Power). But it is not as harsh if you miss a note.

On Guitar, hammer ons and pull offs take some getting used to if you play Guitar Hero. The fret and beat indicators are rectangular and for the hammer ons nad pull offs they are just a bit smaller and not as easy to recognize.

The drums are pretty much like the electronic drum pads, and if you were a drumming in High School don't think you can sit down and just play like nothing... it takes some rethinking and relearnig... But it is fun none the less.

Singing is a hoot. Luckily you can turn the mic volume down and the vocal track up so that your voice doesn't come though the speakers, unless you want them too. It's pretty much like Karaoke. You have an indicator that tells you if your picth is out of whack, and the words scroll across the screen if you don't know the song. I can't sing worth crap, but who cares, have fun with it. I do a great rendition of "Sabotage" by The Beastie Boys.

I would recommend this game to anyone who has more than one gamer in the family and you can include non-gamers too, it's easy to pick up and it is a family and friend oriented game that is an alternative to your standard FPS or RTS viloence. Not that there is anything wrong with those.

Assassin Creed

Anyone pickup a copy of Assassin Creed? Made for bot the XBOX360 and PS3

I was playing a few nights ago and can't stop playing it. Just going to give you guys a clipnotes review.

More Info

Rating from 1 to 10:

Graphics: 9
Nice graphics and big cities(not a 10 because it is not using the full potential of the XBOX360).

Game play: 9
Easy controls, after the quick training session.

SFX: 10
Fighting and combo moves never get old. Specifically the counter attack.

Re-Playability: 6
Saving peasants gets old quick. You get repeated dialogs.

Casual Gamer level: 10
Easy to play, and a small learning curve. You can pick up the controls fast.

Other Though: After mastering the fighting controls, 20 guards can not kill me. When you kill most of the guards, and only a hand full are left they start chickening out, either they beg for mercy or just run away. Which makes a lot of sense when going against a skilled Assassin.
Don't get the "Exclusive Two Disc Pack" The extra disc claims to contain the "before they came to earth" action packed extra....

Action packed... appearently means: 19 minutes of comic strips and stills with voice overs telling the story.

Our Walmart was having a special where the 2 pack set was the same price as the one disc but as far as I am concerned the extra disc is a coaster.
