<strong>Moonshot Methodologies</strong><br />
<br />
<br />
<strong><span class='underline'>Method 1. Trading Moonshots</span></strong><br />
<br />
This is typically done between two similar sized allies or friends, BOTH of which have adequate defense to kill all ships.  Use Speedsim and simulate if you are in doubt!<br />
<br />
Party #1<br />
<ul><li> Solid Defense<li> 1667 Light Fighthers (Cost: 5,001,000 Metal / 1,667,000 Crystal)<li> Solid Recycler Fleet (Medar uses 26 recyclers)<br />
</ul><br />
<br />
Party #2<br />
<ul><li> Same as above<br />
</ul><br />
<br />
The objective is to launch your 1667 Light Fighters at each other, and have them 100% destroyed with minimal loss to your defenses.  This exact amount of Light Fighters gives you a 20% moonshot, which is the max percentage.  Outcome?  4 out of 5 times you will have blown through your entire 1667 fighters, and all you get is a damned debris field.  Happened to Hod twice now, happened to me three times before I got my first moon.<br />
<br />
Immediately BEFORE the battle - fleetsave your recyclers or any small ships you don't want wasted.<br />
<br />
Immediately AFTER the battle - recall your recyclers and other random ships.  You then recycle the debris above YOUR planet, which is usually a 12-15 minute run for a recycler round trip.  There is 101 Recyclers worth floating...so do the math.  21 Recyclers will take you 50 minutes to an hour doing back to back trips.  More recyclers = less time.<br />
<br />
<strong>Outcome of Moonshot:</strong><br />
<br />
1. Debris Field Only: Consisting of 1,500,300 Metal, and 500,100 Crystal (70% Metal and Crystal Loss)<br />

OR <br />
 <br />
2. Moon AND Debris Field: Consisting of 1,500,300 Metal, and 500,100 Crystal (70% Metal and Crystal Loss, but you got the damn Moon!)<br />

Always be aware of the rules!  This method is 100% legal because the higher ranked player cannot PUSH a lower ranked player (it is technically a PULL which is fully legal).  Neither party is benefitting from this in terms of RES gain - the Higher ranked player is only receiving the DF (which is 30% of what he paid).  Again to make sure I even confirmed with the Admins.<br />

    <li> Players answering to a higher ranked player extortion by paying resources.<br />
    <li> Trades that mean an unfair profit to the higher ranked player by falling outside the following range of ratios:<br />

      3:2:1 Where each unit of deuterium is worth 2 units of crystal or 3 units of metal.<br />
