After the first year of Neverwinter, many citizens began hosting small events here and there, garnering interest in their group, or just having fun by promoting activity within the game. If you have played other games, you have seen this, just not to the elaborate extent it was taken in NWN. Below are some examples of the larger or ongoing events.

Guild of Heroes - The Guild of Heroes presents ample opportunity for members of the NWN community to earn pearls to purchase those elusive items. Monthly contests include things such as joke telling, story writing and graphic design contests. These month long contests provide pearl prizes of 25, 20 and 15 pearls to the winners of the contest. GOH only mini booths are also done twice monthly by the NW staff. For more information check out the GOH boards.

Ladders - These were devised to show who the greatest PvP'ers of the realms were, and players hosted the Singles ladder (also the Stomping Grounds at a lower level), the Doubles Ladder, the WPC Ladder, the WPC Quads ladder, and various other ladders as the Grim and various other guild-run ladders.

Neverwinter Summer Festival - Neverwinter celebrated its fifth anniversary in grand style with a Summer Festival. This event ran the gamut of PVP booths, a trivia contest, various spell related booths and a random drawing for some top notch prizes.

NWN Trivia - NWN Trivia is a monthly trivia contest sponsored by the NW staff. This event happens in the Great Hall of Neverwinter on the first Tuesday of every month from 10 pm EDT to 11:30 pm EDT. Participants are asked three part trivia questions with the top three in points received, getting pearl prizes of 25, 20 and 15 pearls. These is also a random roll off for a prize of 5 pearls.

Roleplay Events - Realms encompassing events such as Stormbringers, or Quest events that forced you to use your game knowledge, roleplaying abilities, and occassionally your PvP abilities!

Super Bashes - held from the early days of the realm, Super Bashes pitted player against player to claim the top prize as best of the best in PvP.

Wars - These wars were between the sanctioned (and later the unsanctioned also) guilds of Neverwinter. For more info, click the WARS link.

This event happens in the Great Hall of Neverwinter on the third Thursday of every month from 10 pm EDT to 11:30 pm EDT. Participants are asked three part trivia questions with the top three in points received, getting pearl prizes of 25, 20 and 15 pearls. These is also a random roll off for a prize of 5 pearls.
